When there is abundance of strength, over excitement and additional care is there what happens? ‘Kaliveera’ happens. Director Avinash Bhushan alias Avi has opened up his lorry load of strength but not chiseled it tactfully and precisely.
Of course, there is stuff but it is overfed. The idea of catering to a wider range perhaps made this director to make this film in excess.
A new action hero takes birth from this film ‘Kaliveera’ and that is ‘Ekalavya’. Hats off to his strength! somersaults, jumps, twisting his arms and legs are stunning in fact.
Ekalavya is a self-made man in real life and it continues for his first cinema journey. He is the protector of his tribal people numbering to 112. The tribe is in possession of ‘Vajra Shiva’ and this is the center of attraction for rabble-rousers. Shiva, an honest and sincere protector, faces the severe attack from an alien lead troubleshooter. That is because ‘Vajra Shiva idol’ is worth thousands of crores of rupees.
Like how from the time of Mohammad Ghazni the attacks happened for Hindu temples, now in Kaliyuva, Kaliveera is there to save the sacred idol.
The first half of the film is set in the city backdrop. The flashback that is too long and gory has the main stuff. When it comes back to present another huge battleground is set to save the sacred ‘Vajra Shiva’.
Ekalavya is a debutant to watch in his stunts. He has put in great effort, his future is bright, Pavana Gowda and Anitha Bhat on the villain track are very impressive. Chirasri Anchan is quite OK.
Tabla Nani, Ninasam Ashwath, Mohan Juneja give good support. Different Danny in the stunts is another screen stealer. V Manohar`s two lively songs lift the film largely.
Action lovers cannot miss this film ‘Kaliveera’.
